**Definition:** A condition of the urinary system, caused by weakness of the pelvic floor muscles and an increase in intra-abdominal pressure, leading to pressure on the bladder. This condition is characterised by a shift in the position of the urethra allowing urine to pass easily, and urinary incontinence when coughing, laughing, sneezing, exercising, or other physical activities that increase intra-abdominal pressure.
