Pre-existing hypertensive heart and renal disease complicating pregnancy, childbirth or the puerperium

**Definition:** Blood pressure of 140 mm Hg or greater systolic and/or 90 mm Hg or greater diastolic diagnosed preconception or in the first 20 weeks of pregnancy with associated heart and renal disease

**Inclusions:** - Hypertensive heart and renal disease specified as a reason for obstetric care during pregnancy, childbirth or the puerperium
