Obstetric haematoma of pelvis

**Definition:** An injury characterised by a collection of extravasated blood trapped in the pelvic tissues. This injury is caused by or subsequent to the process of (or any intervention related to) pregnancy, or labour and delivery. This condition may also present with bruising or blood clots in the pelvic area.
