Death from direct obstetric cause occurring more than 42 days but less than one year after delivery

**Definition:** Any condition directly resulting in death due to any cause associated with the physiological or other changes that occur during the period of time from conception to delivery (pregnancy), during labour and delivery (childbirth) or during the approximately six weeks after delivery during which the uterus returns to the original size (puerperium).
