Fetus or newborn affected by oligohydramnios

**Definition:** Oligohydramnios is defined as a decrease in the volume of amniotic fluid. It is diagnosed if the diameter of the largest amniotic fluid depot is < 2 cm, or if the amniotic fluid index (AFI) is < 5 cm.
