Neonatal aspiration of meconium

**Definition:** Meconium Aspiration Syndrome (MAS) is defined as respiratory distress in an infant born through meconium-stained amniotic fluid with roentgenographic findings consistent with MAS and whose symptoms could not be otherwise explained.

**Exclusions:** - Meconium passage during delivery - Meconium staining
