Pulmonary haemorrhage originating in the perinatal period

**Definition:** A condition characterised by bleeding from the lung which begins during the period of time around childbirth, especially the five months before and one month after birth.

**Exclusions:** - Acute idiopathic pulmonary haemorrhage in infants over 28 days of age
