Neonatal eosinophilic oesophagitis
**Definition:** Eosinophilic oesophagitis is an inflammatory condition, possibly caused by food allergy, in which the wall of the oesophagus becomes filled with a large number of eosinophils. It can be confused with acid reflux disease but it can be differentiated if neonate does not respond to anti-reflux medications.
