Neonatal acne
**Definition:** Acne presenting at birth or shortly afterwards, generally with predominantly comedonal lesions of the cheeks and a paucity of inflammatory lesions. It is thought to be due to hyperactivity of the sebaceous glands stimulated by neonatal androgens from the testes in boys and adrenals in girls.
