Laryngeal hypoplasia

**Definition:** A condition caused by failure of the pharynx and larynx to correctly develop during the antenatal period. This condition is characterised by a narrowed airway and protrusion of intestines through the belly button. This condition may also present with high pitched voice, spinal curvature, or learning difficulties.
