Congenital cyst of mediastinum

**Definition:** A condition caused by failure of the anterior intestine or coelomic cavity to correctly develop during the antenatal period. This condition may be asymptomatic or may present with adjacent organ compression. Confirmation is observation of the cysts by imaging.
