Congenital pericardial anomaly

**Definition:** A congenital cardiovascular malformation in which there is a structural and/or functional abnormality of the pericardium.

**Long definition:** This term can include complete or partial absence of the pericardium, pericardial cysts, antenatal pericardial effusion and congenital tumours of the serous pericardium.
