Structural developmental anomalies of diaphragm

**Definition:** Congenital diaphragmatic hernia is a posterolateral defect of the diaphragm that allows passage of abdominal viscera into the thorax, leading to respiratory insufficiency and persistent pulmonary hypertension with high mortality.

**Exclusions:** - Congenital hiatus hernia
