Cronkhite-Canada syndrome
**Definition:** Cronkhite-Canada syndrome (CCS) is a sporadically occurring, noninherited disorder of generalised gastrointestinal polyps (hamartomas), cutaneous pigmentation, alopecia, and onychodystrophy. The possibility of progression to cancer is considered to be low. Chronic diarrhea and protein-losing enteropathy are often observed.
