Peutz-Jeghers syndrome

**Definition:** Peutz-Jeghers syndrome (PJS) is an autosomal dominant inherited disorder characterised by intestinal hamartomatous polyps in association with a distinct pattern of skin and mucosal macular melanin deposition. Patients have an increased risk of developing intestinal cancer.
