Balanced translocation and insertion in normal individual

**Definition:** A condition caused by translocation of genetic material between chromosomes with no net gain or loss of genetic material, in an individual demonstrating no abnormalities. Confirmation is through observation of a balanced translocation and insertion by genetic testing.
