Tinnitus

**Definition:** A nonspecific symptom of hearing disorder characterised by the sensation of buzzing, ringing, clicking, pulsations, and other noises in the ear in the absence of appropriate corresponding external stimuli and in the absence of what the examiner can hear with a stethoscope.
