Adverse effects, not elsewhere classified

**Definition:** Adverse effects which cannot be attributed to any more specific cause and thus excluding but not limited to injury, allergy, hypersensitivity, toxic effects and complications of surgical and medical care.

**Exclusions:** - Harmful effects of substances - anaphylactic shock due to adverse food reaction - Injury or harm arising from surgical or medical care, not elsewhere classified - Anaphylaxis - anaphylactic shock due to serum - Allergic or hypersensitivity disorders involving the gastrointestinal tract - Allergic or hypersensitivity disorders involving skin or mucous membranes - Allergic or hypersensitivity disorders involving the respiratory tract
