Cystic, Mucinous and Serous Neoplasms
Cystic, mucinous and serous neoplasms are epithelial tumors that form fluid-filled cystic spaces and produce mucinous or serous secretions. They are most common in the ovary and other serosal surfaces, ranging from benign cystadenomas through borderline lesions to overt carcinomas, and are distinguished by their histologic architecture rather than a single organ site.
