Thymic epithelial neoplasms are tumors that arise from the epithelial cells of the thymus, encompassing thymomas and thymic carcinomas. They are primary mediastinal neoplasms that may present as an anterior mediastinal mass and are frequently associated with paraneoplastic syndromes such as myasthenia gravis.
