Fibromatous Neoplasms

Fibromatous neoplasms are tumors composed chiefly of fibroblastic spindle cells that resemble normal fibrous tissue, ranging from benign proliferations to low-grade malignant lesions such as desmoid-type fibromatosis. In ICD-O-3 they are grouped under code M-881, which covers entities primarily exhibiting a fibrous, collagen-producing stroma without significant epithelial differentiation.
