Germ cell neoplasms are tumors that arise from primordial germ cells and may occur in the gonads or at extragonadal sites. They encompass a spectrum of histologies such as seminoma/dysgerminoma, embryonal carcinoma, yolk sac tumor, choriocarcinoma, teratoma and mixed germ-cell tumors, each with distinct clinical and biological behavior.
