Giant Cell Tumors
Giant cell tumors are bone neoplasms composed of multinucleated giant cells mixed with mononuclear stromal cells, most often arising in the epiphysis of long bones such as the distal femur or proximal tibia. They are typically locally aggressive, may recur after excision, and rarely show malignant behavior or metastasize. The ICD-O-3 code M-924 includes benign, uncertain, and malignant variants of this tumor.
