Meningiomas

M-940 denotes meningioma, a tumor arising from the meningothelial cells of the arachnoid layer of the meninges and the most common primary intracranial neoplasm. Most meningiomas are benign (grade I) but the classification also covers atypical (grade II) and anaplastic (grade III) histologic subtypes.
