Myeloid Leukemias

M-996 in ICD-O-3 groups malignant neoplasms derived from myeloid hematopoietic cells, encompassing acute myeloid leukemia, chronic myelogenous leukemia, myelodysplastic syndromes with leukemic transformation, and related myeloproliferative disorders; these cancers arise from myeloid precursors and are characterized by abnormal proliferation and impaired differentiation of myeloid lineages.
