Hypopharynx

T-C13 designates the hypopharynx, the lower portion of the pharynx extending from the epiglottis to the esophagus. In ICD-O-3 this topography code is used to record malignant neoplasms that arise in the hypopharynx, including sites such as the pyriform sinus and posterior pharyngeal wall.
