Liver and Intrahepatic Bile Ducts

Tumors classified under T-C22 arise in the liver parenchyma or the intrahepatic biliary tree, encompassing primary liver cancers such as hepatocellular carcinoma and intrahepatic cholangiocarcinoma, as well as other malignant neoplasms originating in hepatic tissue or ducts. This site code is used in ICD-O-3 to record primary liver and intrahepatic bile-duct tumors for cancer registration and epidemiologic reporting.
