T-C52 denotes malignant neoplasms originating in the vagina, the fibromuscular tube connecting the cervix to the external genitalia. It includes primary cancers such as squamous cell carcinoma, adenocarcinoma, melanoma and sarcoma that arise in the vaginal wall or mucosa. This topographic code is used in cancer registries to record tumor location and facilitate epidemiologic analysis.
