T-C56 identifies the ovary as the primary site of a tumor in the International Classification of Diseases for Oncology, Third Edition. It is used in cancer registries to code neoplasms that arise in the female reproductive organ that produces eggs and hormones. This topography code applies to all histologic types of ovarian tumors.
