Foreign Exchange Rates

IAS 21 sets out the accounting and disclosure requirements for foreign currency transactions and the translation of foreign operations in financial statements, defining the functional currency and the exchange rates to be used. It requires translation at the reporting-date rate and mandates that exchange differences be recognised in profit or loss, except for items specifically recognised in equity.
