**Definition:** A phylum of predominantly GRAM-POSITIVE BACTERIA that includes the orders Bacillales and EUBACTERIALES. BACILLOTA and BACTEROIDETES are the two bacterial phyla that constitute the majority of the human gut MICROBIOTA.
