**Definition:** Aneurysm of the MICROVASCULATURE. Charcot–Bouchard aneurysms are aneurysms of the brain vasculature which is a common cause of CEREBRAL HEMORRHAGE. Retinal microaneurysm is an early diagnostic sign of DIABETIC RETINOPATHY.
