Maximal Respiratory Pressures

**Definition:** A respiratory function test that includes the maximal inspiratory pressure and maximal expiratory pressure. It is determined by SPIROMETRY that measures the patient's RESIDUAL VOLUME and TOTAL LUNG CAPACITY and assesses the strength of RESPIRATORY MUSCLES.
