**Definition:** A glycosylated transmembrane receptor for PROTEIN C that is highly expressed by endothelial cells on the surface of large blood vessels in the heart and lungs. It facilitates protein C activation by the THROMBIN and THROMBOMODULIN complex in blood coagulation.
