Hyperspectral Imaging

**Definition:** The use of SPECTROMETRY measurements (of radiance, reflectance, optical scattering, absorption, etc.) made for each point of an image, across the whole spectrum of a selected spectral range such as infrared, visual, ultraviolet, or X-rays. Hyperspectral images are analyzed to determine the make up and location of specific chemical compounds in the objects being imaged.
