Renibacterium

**Definition:** A genus of high GC-content, Gram-positive ACTINOBACTERIA in the family MICROCOCCACEAE. The type species of this genus, Renibacterium salmoninarum, is known to cause bacterial kidney disease in SALMONIDS.
