Nasoalveolar Molding

**Definition:** A presurgical facial orthotic treatment for patients with bilateral and unilateral CLEFT LIP and CLEFT PALATE. The treatment uses NASOALVEOLAR MOLDING DEVICES designed to reduce the cleft gap, reposition the alveolar segments to improve nasal symmetry, shaping and lessening the severity of the cleft deformity before primary palatoplasty, cheiloplasty, and RHINOPLASTY.
