Pancreas Divisum

**Definition:** Anatomic variants in PANCREATIC DUCTS characterized by failure of fusion of the ventral and dorsal endodermal buds. Pancreas divisum results in inadequate or no communication between dorsal and ventral ducts. While most cases are asymptomatic, it may be associated with recurrent PANCREATITIS.
