**Definition:** Postoperative complication after removal of the RECTUM (low anterior resection surgery or resection surgery to the lower part of the COLON). It includes disordered rectum function, e.g., frequent BOWEL MOVEMENT; FECAL INCONTINENCE; and CONSTIPATION.
