Kir5.1 Channel

**Definition:** An inwardly-rectifying potassium channel that allows potassium to flow into rather than out of a cell. It selectively co-assembles with two other inward-rectifier type potassium channels, Kir4.1 or Kir4.2, to form heteromeric channels.
