CD68 Molecule
**Definition:** A single-pass type 1 transmembrane glycoprotein that localizes to LYSOSOMES; ENDOSOMES; and cell surface CELL MEMBRANES. It is a member of the lysosomal associated membrane glycoprotein family and the scavenger receptor family. The highly glycosylated extracellular domain binds to tissue- and organ-specific LECTINS or SELECTINS.
