Lucilia Blowflies

**Definition:** A genus of the family Calliphoridae in the order Diptera. Members include common green bottle fly whose maggots are used in MAGGOT THERAPY and sheep blowflies causing MYIASIS. Several member species are blowflies of interest to FORENSIC ENTOMOLOGY.
