Cronkhite-Canada Syndrome

**Definition:** A nonfamilial polyposis syndrome that is characterized by the presence of diffuse gastrointestinal polyposis, skin hyperpigmentation, ALOPECIA; DIARRHEA, and PROTEIN-LOSING ENTEROPATHY. It was first reported by Cronkhite and Canada in 1955.
