Carotid Webs

**Definition:** The presence of one or more thin flap-like membranes arising from the posterior wall of the INTERNAL CAROTID ARTERY bulb. While carotid webs can be asymptomatic, they may also be associated with TRANSIENT ISCHEMIC ATTACKS, and STROKE.
