Hedgehogs

**Definition:** The family Erinaceidae, in the order EULIPOTYPHLA. Most are true hedgehogs possessing a coat of spines and a very short tail. Those members of the family found in Southeast Asia (moonrats or gymnures) have normal body hair and a long tail.
