**Definition:** Acute types of coxsackievirus infections or ECHOVIRUS INFECTIONS that usually affect children during the summer and are characterized by vesiculoulcerative lesions on the MUCOUS MEMBRANES of the THROAT; DYSPHAGIA; VOMITING, and FEVER.
