Umbridae

**Definition:** A family of ESOCIFORMES comprising the mudminnows. There are three genera: Dallia, Novumbra, and Umbra, with much disagreement about their taxonomic interrelations. The Umbridae are freshwater fish inhabiting parts of the Northern Hemisphere.
