Piriform Cortex

**Definition:** An area of the olfactory cortex comprising the rostral half of the uncus of the PARAHIPPOCAMPAL GYRUS and the anterior PARAHIPPOCAMPAL GYRUS. It receives major afferents directly from the OLFACTORY BULB.
