Multiplicative number theory covers the study of integers through their multiplicative structure, including the distribution of prime numbers, arithmetic functions, Dirichlet characters and L-functions, the Riemann zeta function, and related analytic techniques such as sieve methods and zero-density estimates. It focuses on results that express properties of numbers in terms of products rather than sums.
