AICDA wt Allele

**Definition:** Human AICDA wild-type allele is located in the vicinity of 12p13 and is approximately 11 kb in length. This allele, which encodes single-stranded DNA cytidine deaminase protein, is involved in both DNA methylation and B-cell differentiation. Mutation of the gene is associated with immunodeficiency with hyper-IgM type 2.
